The Story
Think of this black skirt as the perfect, elevated, everyday essential you need. Our Detachable Pinafore Dual Box Pleat Midi Skirt is the blank canvas to creating a low-key-luxe look because one of the merits of wearing black is its ability to match-with-everything. A main detail that is echoed throughout the collection is a Dual Box Pleat technique that is applied to achieve more volume, texture and movement to the piece.
You can wear this skirt as is, paired with a graphic tee for a casual look.
A hidden front loop allows you to pass the belt sash, in contrast Helicon Besar print, to transform the look: V the sash, cross it at the back and secure it at the back belt loops to wear it as a pinafore skirt for a preppy look; or tie the belt sash around the waist as a pop of colour.

The Print
The motif on our printed sash was inspired by the extremely sophisticated weaving techniques of Ikat and the beautiful Parang Klitik motifs, which symbolises wisdom, quiet strength and tenderness to the wearer.
The colours of the printed sash were lifted from the landscape of Afton’s grandfather’s village in Moro, Indonesia – of stilt houses on the olive-sapphire sea, vibrant coloured roofs of boats, dark teal outline of distant mountains, smells of dank moss and the salty sea.
