If dreamy was a skirt, this is it.
Drafted in a voluminous A-line silhouette with knife pleats all around, our Pleated Swing Skirt features colours inspired by the colours of the landscape and undulating topography. The map we have used for our print in 𝐕𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐠𝐞 is part of a set of sailing charts, known as the Mao Kun Map (茅坤), purportedly based on the 15th century expeditions of the Indian Ocean by Ming dynasty explorer Admiral Zheng He. This map originates from the 1420s and is the only known cartographic work that mentions “Temasek” (淡马锡) – Singapore’s former name as recognised by the Javanese Majapahit Empire.
Designed to sit just at the waistline, the printed and sheer organza flutters as you walk.
Also available in Blue Map print.
Our Pleated Swing Skirt features:
- Lined
- Left side-seam invisible YKK zip, with two loop and buttons
- Finishings (French seam finishing for the sides; Double hem finishing for the bottom hem)
Reckless Ericka has the permission to reproduce part of the Mao Kun Map (茅坤), from the National Library of Singapore.
