Our Arrowhead print draws from a plant familiar in many Asian homes. The plant's Chinese name, cí gū (慈菇), implies benevolence. Its petals rises gently, its leaves pointing upward like a quiet wish. In Chinese and Peranakan culture, the Arrowhead symbolises kindness, progress, and the steady “rising” of a good life (步步高升), often appearing during Lunar New Year as a blessing for the year ahead. In BELOVED, the Arrowhead becomes a soft emblem of direction and purpose, reminding us that gentleness can guide just as surely as strength.
