/ BEHOLD /
Behold began as a whisper, a seed so small it disappears between fingertips, carried by the wind, unseen yet full of promise.
/ Introduction /
When I was a young girl, I joined the school’s Orchid Club. We would pollinate orchids by hand, using a cotton swab to transfer pollen from the anther (male part) to the stigma (female part) of another orchid. As I recount the memories for this collection, I can still feel the thick, humid air in the greenhouse behind the school, hear the humming of honeybees and the shrill chorus of the cicadas. After each pollination, we waited for months to see if the seed pod would form. From there, it would take years for a new orchid to flower.

“The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn."
Orchids hold entire worlds within them. The tiniest seed in the world carries millions, each one waiting for the right moment, the right touch of soil and sky, the quiet hand that coaxes abundance out of almost nothing.
Behold is a collection about that moment. The stillness before bloom. The breath before something hidden is revealed. It follows in the rhythm of HARVEST, of HOPE, and of FLOURISH. It is an unfolding that is both quiet and breathtaking.
Orchids have also always been a part of Singapore’s story. Our national flower, Vanda Miss Joaquim, is a symbol of resilience and grace. Orchids take root in unexpected places, finding light where others may not. Their beauty stays, effortless yet intentional. This collection gathers those echoes, featuring botanical silhouettes that move with the body, fabrics that open like petals catching the wind, folds that mimic the delicate weight of a flower in bloom.
There is something almost film-like in this quiet blooming. A woman steps into the light. Her dress shifts like dappled shadows through leaves. The clean ease of mid-century lines softened by the wildness of nature. The quiet power of retro-feminine shapes, lasting and unhurried. She moves gently, and the space around her changes too.
