Afton finished her Bachelor of Design (majoring in Fashion Design) awarded by Raffles College of Design and Commerce in Sydney and delivered by Raffles Design in 2008. Emerging as a finalist in the Young Designer’s Contest that was held as part of Singapore Fashion Week 2007 paved the way for her to start the label, RECKLESS ERICKA, with co-founder Louis in 2009.
Strongly skilled in pattern drafting with a distinctive fashion aesthetic, RECKLESS ERICKA offers exceptionally designed apparel, both fashionable and functional. With emphasis on craftsmanship, collections are designed by Afton and are produced in ethically sourced factories using quality materials.
On her biggest career achievement, Afton says: “When I walk down the street and see my designs being worn, it gives me unspeakable joy.”

Inspired by the short story in Paul Arden’s book “Whatever you think, think the opposite”, we like the title character’s reckless spirit – enthusiastic, popping with daft ideas, adventurous, always having wild and fresh ideas. Her whole life is a series of ups and downs,
doing what she likes and fearlessly refusing to conform.
RECKLESS, that’s what we want to be.

We are committed to craftsmanship, becoming the alternative voice to fast fashion and bringing you the highest quality apparel. Our collections are designed in-house and made at ethical factories using quality materials, because we believe that our customers deserve the best at an affordable price point without traditional markups.

We want you to wear our pieces for years, even decades, to come. We really want you to have it all!

The Reckless Shop currently carries our 3 in-house labels, Reckless JerseyReckless Ericka and Still.

Reckless Jersey features functional, urban designs from Singapore made with luxe jersey.
It strives to capture the youthfulness and energy of women, featuring drapes on jerseys that stresses on basic silhouette, yet enhances the femininity of a woman. There is focus on functionality and versatility with a wide range of multi-wearable pieces, where the wearer can transform their look in an instant.

Reckless Ericka is a men, women and kidswear brand that has always been off-kilter, not taking fashion seriously. Everything is infected in some way with colours and patterns. We focus on balancing classic tailoring with edgy use of silhouette and colours, and constructing quirky silhouettes with classic details.

Still is a high quality, faith-based, Spirit contemporary apparel - an alternative to chasing what's new or what's next.
