Bat
Our Bat print draws from Peranakan heritage, where the bat is an emblem of blessing and happiness - the word for bat (蝠, fú) is a homophone for fortune/blessing (福, fú). Often seen on old shophouse facades and ceramics, bats symbolise the Five Blessings — longevity, prosperity, health, virtue, and a peaceful life. Reimagined through a mid-century lens, our bat motif also nods to the real bats that quietly care for Singapore’s ecosystems at night, pollinating flowers and renewing our forests. In BELOVED, the bat becomes a reminder that joy takes flight when we are rooted in home.

Falling into a gently flared skirt, the silhouette offers comfort without losing shape, creating a dress that is both flattering and wearable.
