Craterellus
Craterellus rises in slender hollow trumpets, and the print keeps it inky, edges furling outward in near-black against a pale ground. It grows in quiet clusters, easy to miss until you are close, the trumpets surface in pale, near-white lines against black, roots still hidden, only the ruffled edges catching any light at all.

Reckless Ericka's Trench Knee Dress in Craterellus from the UNDERSTORY collection takes trench codes and lets them soften.A relaxed notch collar opens into a V at the front, closing with a column of front buttons that keeps the tailored line without the stiffness. The detachable sash can draw the waist in, shifting the balance between structure and ease. Craterellus surfaces across the collar, shoulder yoke and upper back, pale near-white trumpet forms breaking through the black, the same camouflage the mushroom wears in reverse.

For Work
Button it cleanly and knot the sash at the side rather than the centre, then add polished loafers or a low slingback. A structured black bag and slim silver jewellery keep the trench references crisp in warm weather.

For Night Out
Open the collar, pull the sash closer at the waist and add a narrow patent heel. Finish with a sculptural silver earring and a small box clutch, allowing the pale Craterellus panels to cut through the black.
