Omphalotus glows faintly in the dark, its cap running gold to orange on the forest floor. Here the print trades that colour for magenta and pink on purpose, clustered caps brightening from the hem up, the way its own glow would rise once your eyes adjust.

THE STORY
Reckless Ericka's Adjustable Border Dress in Omphalotus from the UNDERSTORY collection sets a fitted bustier bodice in ecru against a black skirt cut in a true circle, so it swings and sweeps rather than falling straight. A rectangular border panel carries the print differently against that circular cut, giving the hem a little more structure exactly where the skirt wants to move the most. Straps tie at the shoulder and a drawstring at the back waist adjusts the fit further, so the whole dress can be taken in or let loose without ever touching the zip. Omphalotus spreads across the bodice and skirt in magenta and pink, traded on purpose for the gold and orange it actually glows in the wild.

For Work
Layer a long sleeve white shirt beneath the bustier neckline, then draw the back and waist in just enough to keep the silhouette clean. Add a low black slingback and a refined tote. Accessories to be kept clean and minimal for a more professional look.

For Night Out
Wear it bare at the neckline and cinch the drawstrings to create a more sculpted upper body against the full skirt. Add a satin heel, polished cuff and tiny evening bag in silver, black or deep wine.
