THE PRINT
Porcini
Porcini is thick and grounded in life, but the print lets it turn almost ghostly, pale grey caps trailing long thread-fine stems across a bare ground. There is a steadiness even in that softened drawing, something that keeps its footing however lightly it is rendered.

THE STORY
Our Illusion Dress from Reckless Ericka's UNDERSTORY collection is one dress built to read as two considered pieces. A micro Chinese collar can be buttoned high or folded open into a soft vintage roll, while dolman sleeves keep the shoulder relaxed. At the waist, a peplum layer creates the impression of a separate top before the skirt opens into a long, flaring line to below mid-calf. The Porcini print climbs the skirt in blue on a bare ivory ground, and a detachable sash draws the whole thing in at the waist.

For Work
Button the collar neatly, tie the sash in a flat knot and add low pumps or slingbacks. A structured tote and small earrings keep the retro line polished without making it feel formal.

For Night Out
Fold the collar open, define the waist with the sash and add metallic heels, a lacquered clutch and sculptural jewellery. The peplum and full skirt create enough shape for a strong evening look.

For Weekends
Leave the collar slightly open and wear the dress with flat sandals or soft ballet flats. A compact crossbody bag keeps the long tea-length silhouette relaxed for brunch or an afternoon out.
