The Story
This retro-feminine skirt is drafted in a universally flattering silhouette where the waist is cinched and the skirt swings out in full drape. Cutting this skirt from more than 6 meters of fabric in a full circle makes this skirt nothing short of stunning and desirable.
This skirt pairs perfectly with our Essentials, blouses tucked in, or with plain T-shirts. You may like to add a thin belt to accentuate the waist. Go casual with a pair of ‘90s strappy sandal or luxe slides, preppy with Mary Jane heels or full glamour with a beautiful pair of heels.
Because of the skirt’s full drape and fluidity, the cyanotype print will appear to dance as the wearer moves.
The Print
PINK CYANOTYPE
This print is made using Cyanotype – a slow-reacting art of photographic blueprint.
Photosensitive solution is applied to watercolour paper and dried in a dark place. Flowers are placed on the paper and exposed in sunlight. The paper is developed by washing in cold water and the parts that are exposed to UV rays turn blue. Colours are then manipulated digitally.
